1 dead, 3 injured after chemical tanker explodes in Mumbai’s Chembur
A chemical tanker explosion during maintenance work in Chembur, Mumbai, resulted in one death and three injuries. Emergency services and local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the blast.
MUMBAI: A chemical tanker exploded during maintenance work in Chembur (East) on Friday evening, leaving four people injured, one of whom later died at Sion Hospital.The blast took place in Mukund Nagar, near Mahisur Colony, triggering a swift response from emergency services.Firefighters and rescue personnel reached the site soon after the explosion and launched relief operations.Officials said four people sustained injuries in the incident.While all of them were rushed for medical treatment, one of the injured later succumbed at Sion Hospital.Teams from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, police, the 108 ambulance service, BEST and civic authorities were deployed at the spot.The exact cause of the explosion is yet to be determined, and an investigation has been initiated.Get the latest City News and Live updates.
