34 electricity substations to come up in city, three neighbouring districts
The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited plans to build 34 new electricity substations to address rising power demand and frequent outages in Chennai and surrounding districts. The project, costing over 3,000 crore, aims to modernize aging infrastructure.
The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) will soon begin work on setting up electricity substations of varying capacities to improve distribution network in the city and the neighbouring districts of Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, and Kancheepuram.
