5 Killed in Gold Mine Collapse in Narok County
A gold mine collapse in Narok County, Kenya, has resulted in at least five deaths, with rescue operations ongoing for others trapped underground. The government is currently reviewing safety regulations following a series of similar mining accidents.

The five were part of a group that was buried when the mine caved in on Tuesday, July 21, trapping several miners underground. Kenyans.co.ke learnt that several survivors were rescued and rushed to nearby medical facilities for emergency treatment. Additionally, rescue operations are ongoing to rescue any remaining people trapped underneath the mines.
