A hundred years ago | British industrial mission to America
A historical report from 1925 describes the formation of a British industrial commission tasked with investigating industrial conditions in the United States. The commission includes representatives from trade unions and employers, led by Sir William Mackenzie.
Rugby, August 6: It is understood that a Commission which with the approval of British Government will proceed to the United States to enquire into industrial conditions there will consist of five members. Two will be representative of the Trade Union movement, two will represent the employers and the Commission will be headed by Sir William Mackenzie, who has served on many important industrial enquiries.
