A.P.’s first private women’s varsity, govt. degree college for hearing-impaired get Cabinet nod

Andhra Pradesh is set to get its first private women’s university, with the State Cabinet on Thursday approving the upgradation of Sri Vishnu Engineering College for Women, Bhimavaram, into Vishnu Women’s University. The Cabinet also cleared the conversion of Chalapathi Institute of Technology in Guntur district into Chalapathi University by amending the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2016.
