Adulterated spices, fake paneer and other violations detected by Hyderabad-FAST in under 5 months
The Hyderabad-Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) and local police have conducted numerous raids, seizing over 246 tonnes of adulterated food products in five months. Violations include fake paneer, synthetic food colors, and unhygienic preparation conditions.
Seizure of over 25,300 kgs of spices in Hyderabad made people exclaim that no food products were spared of adulteration. A look at the list of the products seized by Hyderabad-Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) and Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s Task Force in the past a few months would give one idea about the range of the products either adulterated or food safety violations in their preparation.
