AI can now do most of what this site was created to do—faster, cheaper, and without demanding that I debug something at 2 a.m. because a dependency decided to reinvent itself. Meanwhile, ad networks have continued their noble mission of turning the internet into a flickering landfill of pop-ups, tracking scripts, fake download buttons, and cookie banners. So congratulations to everyone involved. The hosting companies got their money, the advertisers harvested their data, the maintenance backlog achieved immortality, and the open web became slightly worse. I’m done. Thanks to the actual humans who visited and supported the site. You were the only part of this that didn’t make me regret owning a computer.
