APSRTC employees to submit memorandums on July 27 against private e-bus policy

APSRTC employees are planning a state-wide protest to oppose the Andhra Pradesh government's policy of outsourcing electric bus operations to private companies. The employees' union is demanding that the state-owned corporation retain full control over the procurement and operation of electric buses.
Leaders of the Andhra Pradesh Public Transport Department (APSRTC) Employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) on Sunday said thousands of APSRTC employees across the State would submit memorandums, signed by employees, to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu through the respective District Collectors on Monday(July 27) as part of the JAC’s State-wide protest.
