APSRTC Employees’ Union submit memorandums at 27 district Collectorates
APSRTC employees have submitted memorandums across 27 districts protesting the potential privatization of services under the guise of electric bus integration. The union has threatened to escalate their agitation if their demands are not met by management.
Leaders of the APSRTC Employees’ Union submitted representations addressed to the Chief Minister at the Collectorates in 27 districts on Monday (August 3, 2026). These representations, bearing the signatures of 42,000 RTC employees, were presented by APSRTC JAC (Joint Action Committee) conveners Y. Srinivasa Rao and Palisetty Damodara Rao, who urged the State government to withdraw attempts to privatise services under the guise of introducing electric buses.
