Archaeologists uncover ancient Byzantine city in Egypt’s western desert
Archaeologists in Egypt have discovered a well-preserved fourth-century Byzantine city in the Dakhla oasis, featuring residential structures, a basilica-style church, and defensive watchtowers. Additional discoveries of ancient tombs were also reported near Alexandria.
