Are pedestrians ‘dispensable’ at Millers Road junction?

The Millers Road-Purasawalkam High Road junction is much trodden, being treated to the footwear of those standing on both sides of display cases at the shops on Purasawalkam High Road: shoppers and shopkeepers. On the way to these shops, their ability to keep a stiff upper lip and take unruly motoring behaviour in their stride is challenged at this junction. Obviously, those associated with the shopping experience constitute just one section of the suffering pedestrian population out there; there are also school students and regular commuters finding the going tough at this junction.
