Australian regulator TGA warns of ‘rare but severe’ eye disorder linked to GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic
Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration has issued a warning linking GLP-1 weight loss and diabetes drugs, such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, to a rare but severe eye disorder called NAION. Patients are advised to seek medical attention for sudden vision loss but not to stop treatment without consulting a doctor.
