Beach shacks won’t affect coastal communities, says Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra
Andhra Pradesh Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra announced that new beach shacks will be developed in Visakhapatnam and Surya Lanka without disrupting local fishing communities. He also promised compensation for the families of deceased toddy tappers.
Minister for Mines and Excise Kollu Ravindra on Tuesday claimed that the proposed beach shacks to be allowed along the Visakhapatnam and Surya Lanka beaches would be developed on the lines of those in Goa and Kerala without affecting the local fishing and coastal communities.
