Bhogapuram airport: government promises to settle farmers’ compensation through court
Andhra Pradesh government officials have promised farmers that compensation for land acquired for the Bhogapuram international airport will be settled through court procedures. Villagers are concerned about receiving fair market rates and employment opportunities ahead of the airport's scheduled inauguration.
Andhra Pradesh Minister for MSME and NRI Affairs Kondapalli Srinivas, Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and other senior officials promised that the government would do justice to the farmers who had surrendered their lands for the construction of the international airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district.
