Bihar Cabinet approves DPRs for four Regional Rapid Transit corridors

The Bihar cabinet has approved the preparation of Detailed Project Reports for four new Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridors to improve connectivity in the state. The project, managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation, aims to link Patna with major urban centers like Gaya, Muzaffarpur, and Ara.
With a view to taking the initiative to develop a modern, fast, and integrated regional transport system in the State, the Bihar cabinet on Wednesday (July 9, 2026) accorded in-principle approval for the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for four Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridors.
