Bihar Takes Centre Stage as an Emerging Textile Hub at Bharat Tex 2026

Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile event, commenced today at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and will continue until 17 July 2026. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh in the presence of Minister of State for Textiles Shri Pabitra Margherita, Secretary (Textiles) Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Industries Secretary Shri Kundan Kumar and other senior officials, marking the beginning of four days of innovation, collaboration and global textile excellence. On the very first day of the event, investors signed MoUs worth over ₹1,400 crore with the Government of Bihar.
