Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillor Satya Sharma was re-elected unopposed as the chairperson of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s (MCD) Standing Committee on Monday, in what will be her second consecutive term at the helm of the civic body’s highest financial decision-making panel. Party colleague Satyapal Singh was also elected unopposed as deputy chairperson after no rival nominations were filed.
