Boeing examination finds no abnormality with Dreamliner's fuel control switch: Government
Boeing's detailed examination found no abnormality with the fuel control switch locking mechanism of a Dreamliner aircraft, following an Air India pilot's report of a possible issue in February. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had directed the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) level testing in Seattle, and further inspection of the 'Thrust Control Module' is ongoing.
The government has said that Boeing's detailed examination of the Dreamliner aircraft's fuel control switch locking mechanism did not find any abnormality following an Air India pilot flagging possible issues with the system after operating a London Heathrow-Bengaluru flight in February this year.
