BAHAWALPUR - A 12-year-old boy was killed on Sunday after being hit by a speeding train near the Nawaz Colony area on Multan Road. According to Rescue 1122, the tragic incident occurred near the Small Industry area when the victim identified as Qaiser, 12, son of Nadeem, a resident of Nawaz Colony, was struck while crossing the railway tracks. The victim's family told rescue personnel that the child had left the house to buy milk from a nearby shop when the passing train hit him. Rescue officials stated that the boy's relatives had already shifted the body back to their residence before the emergency teams arrived at the scene. The family declined to shift the body to the hospital for a post-mortem examination and retained custody of the deceased.
