Cannabis worth €3 million seized at Dublin Airport

€3 million worth of cannabis has been seized at Dublin Airport. The seizure was made by Revenue officers on Thursday after the drugs were found in freight declared as "Lighting'. The package arrived from the USA, and was destined for an address in Dublin . "Yesterday, 16/07/2026, as part of routine operations, Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized approximately 150kg of herbal cannabis. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of €3 million. "The cannabis was discovered concealed in a freight consignment declared as ‘Lighting’. The consignment originated in the USA and was destined for an address in Dublin. "Investigations are ongoing. These seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
