Cardamom plantation lands are revenue lands: Minister
Kerala's Revenue Minister A.P. Anilkumar has affirmed that cardamom plantation lands are classified as revenue lands, aiming to resolve long-standing disputes with the Forest department. The government is working to vacate Supreme Court stay orders and is exploring new economic opportunities for farmers, including tourism and crop diversification.
The Revenue department maintains that cardamom plantation lands are indisputably revenue lands. Inaugurating the Cardamom Conclave organised by the Cardamom Planters’ Club on Tuesday evening, the Revenue Minister A.P. Anilkumar said the government would take steps to resolve claims raised by the Forest department over the Cardamom Hill Reserve (CHR) lands.
