He emphasised that skill-based education is the need of the hour, adding that processing raw agricultural produce into value-added products enables higher profits at lower costs.He said that practical training equips women for economic independence while creating new employment opportunities and strengthening the agricultural economy. He further highlighted that modern food processing techniques can improve food security and encourage self-employment, stressing the importance of promoting entrepreneurship among the youth and supporting small home-based businesses for sustainable economic growth.Director Communication REDC Fahad Ahsan briefed the participants on the organisation's various programmes, including computer and other vocational training courses, their objectives, significance, and the institution's historical background.He explained that the food processing course provided practical training in the preparation of jam, jelly, squash, ketchup, pickles, chutneys, and a variety of sauces. Participants were also trained in food safety, packaging, extending product shelf life, and the fundamentals of food business management. Course Coordinator Usman Nazir was also present during the ceremony.
