Chennai Corporation to start survey of out-of-school children in 418 schools in August
The Greater Chennai Corporation is launching a survey to identify out-of-school children and is deploying psychologists to support student emotional well-being. The initiative aims to address systemic issues in schools and improve teacher-student interactions through psychological orientation programs.
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) will start a survey of out-of-school children in 418 Chennai schools in August. The civic body will appoint 17 psychologists to help children who are out of school and help equip teachers with practical approaches to support students’ emotional well-being and positive development.
