Chorus grows for more seats for BCs in local body elections
The National Backward Classes Association in Andhra Pradesh is demanding increased political representation for backward classes in local body elections. They are calling for seat allocations to reflect population demographics and for the inclusion of caste data in the upcoming census.
National Backward Classes Association’s Andhra Pradesh State general secretary Burli Seetham Naidu on Sunday urged the political parties to allocate more seats for the BCs in the municipal, ZPTC, MPTC elections in accordance to their population in their respective areas.
