City hospital organises movie screening for Thalassemia warriors

Apollo Speciality Hospitals in Chennai organized a movie screening for 100 children suffering from Thalassemia. The event aimed to provide the young patients and their families a brief respite from medical treatments and celebrate their resilience.
Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Teynampet, organised a special screening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day at Kamala Cinemas for around 100 young “Thalassemia warriors” and their families and caregivers. A release from the hospital said, the choice of the movie was fitting as its story reflects courage, hope and the strength to overcome challenges. Revathi Raj, Senior Consultant – Paediatrics & Haematology Oncology, Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Teynampet, said: “We wanted to give them a moment to forget the hospital, laugh freely and simply be children.” Ramya U., Consultant – Paediatric Haematology, Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Teynampet, said: “Our Thalassemia Warriors show remarkable courage, and today is about celebrating their childhood, dreams and happiness.”
