Nigerian musician Seun Kuti has denied reports that he left a wedding ceremony in anger due to a joke about his father, Fela Kuti. He clarified that his departure was scheduled to attend a separate event at his father's Shrine.
Seun Kuti, the last son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti, has finally reacted to viral reports that he left Peller's wedding in anger. According to the viral reports on social media, Seun angrily left the event after one of the MCs cracked jokes about the controversial 'Wizkid is bigger than Fela' debate. A viral video captured Seun leaving as he was heard saying, "We are in the wrong place." The development sparked controversy online with one of the MCs coming out to accuse Seun of having anger problems. Finally reacting to the reports, Seun Kuti who was confronted by Fuji singer, Malaika at Fela's Shrine in Lagos, denied leaving the ceremony in anger. Seun explained that he was at the wedding till evening time, and left for an event at his father's Shrine around 8:30 pm. When confronted by Malaika, Seun said; "I left the Peller's wedding about 8:30 pm. I came to the Shrine. There's an event at the Shrine and I have to be there. But bloggers were saying I left angrily. Was I supposed to be dancing when I was hurriedly leaving the place for another event?"
