Emotional farewell to medico killed in A.P. road rage incident

The funeral of Dr. Kanike Priyanka, a medical student killed in a road rage incident in Andhra Pradesh, was held in her native village. Medical associations are demanding a transparent and time-bound investigation into the incident involving the accused.
The village of Eklaspur in Jogulamba Gadwal district poured out of their homes as the funeral cortege of Dr Kanike Priyanka was taken to the cremation ground. Dr. Priyanka’s body was handed over to her family after a post-mortem at the Gandhi Hospital, and later shifted to her native village in Jogulamba Gadwal district, where her last rites were performed amidst an outpouring of grief by the family and friends.
