A 52-year-old man and his teenage daughter died in an apparent family suicide attempt allegedly triggered by severe financial distress near Pazhanji in Kunnamkulam on Monday. The man’s wife and son are undergoing treatment in a critical condition. The deceased were identified as Sibi, 52, and his daughter Aleena, 19, of Madakkanaykkal House, Pazhanji. Sibi’s wife Beena, 42, and son Adithyan, 18, were admitted to hospital after they were found to have consumed poison.
