Forecast: Temperatures rise as heat intensifies nationwide

After the morning clouds clear Saturday, skies will turn fair and temperatures will rise slightly, with worsening heat stress expected across most of the country. The maximum UV index will be very high to extreme. Extreme heat stress is forecast in the Sea of Galilee basin and along the Dead Sea, while heavy heat stress is expected in the southern Golan Heights and its slopes, the northern valleys, Lower Galilee, the coastal plain, the Shfela, the Jordan Valley and the Arava.
