GBA Chief Commissioner pushes new curing technique for white-topping works
Greater Bengaluru Authority Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao has ordered a pilot program to test geotextile sheets for concrete curing in white-topping road projects. He also issued directives regarding footpath construction, utility cable management, and the removal of encroachments to ensure project quality and efficiency.
In a bid to improve the quality of white-topping works, Greater Bengaluru Authority Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao has directed officials to conduct a pilot using geotextile sheets or curing blankets instead of conventional gunny bags for curing concrete over a 100-metre stretch and assess their effectiveness.
