Police suspect the incident was a case of suicide.The deceased has been identified as Sunil More (42), a teacher at the Pota Budruk Zilla Parishad School in Himayatnagar. His daughter Sara (12) and son Sumit (8) also died in the incident.The incident took place at around 8am on the Amdura-Punegaon road when Sunil allegedly drove the car through the side metal railings of a bridge over the Godavari river. The vehicle fell into the river, and all three occupants drowned. Sunil's wife was at home when the incident occurred.According to police, Sunil had posted a WhatsApp status before the incident, alleging that he was being harassed by his seniors and stating that he would end his life along with those of his two children.After local residents alerted the authorities, police and a team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) reached the spot. Following a rescue operation that lasted around three hours, the car was pulled out of the river and the bodies of Sunil and his two children were recovered from inside the vehicle.The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
