ICCBS, Jamia Banoria hold certificate distribution ceremony

KARACHI - The collaboration between the Halal Certification, Testing and Research Services (HCTRS), a part of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, and Jamia Banoria Aalmia is a historic development that demonstrates the close relationship between science and Islam, said Presi-dent Jamia Banoria Aalmia (JBA), Dr. Mufti Noman Naeem. He was speaking as the chief guest at a certificate distribution ceremony held at the LEJ National Science Information Center, ICCBS. During the ceremony, certificates of specialization in Halal Governance and Fiqh of the Halal Industry for Modules 1, 2, and 3 were awarded to JBA students be-longing to different countries. He stated that there is a strong connection between the teachings of the Quran and Hadith and contemporary science. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, Director of ICCBS, also addressed the event. Faculty members and officials of ICCBS, including Prof. Dr. Syed Ghulam Mushar-raf, In-charge HCTRS, and Mufti Dr. Syed Arif Ali Shah, General Manager HCTRS, were present on the occasion. Faculty members of JBA, including Vice President Sheikh Farhan Naeem, along with students from 20 different countries, also at-tended the ceremony.
