IDF killed over 400 Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists since October, 'Post' learns

The IDF has killed at least around 420 Gazan terrorists since the October 2025 ceasefire, The Jerusalem Post has learned.Given that Hamas reportedly has killed dozens or more of its own population since the ceasefire in order to retake control of all areas of the Gaza Strip where the Palestinian population lives and given UN estimates of around 1,000 Gazans killed, this means that at least since the ceasefire, the percentage of Gazans killed by the IDF has likely been less than 50% civilians.This is not necessarily true for the entire war.Gov't, IDF have not published comprehensive figures on killing Hamas, PIJ terrorists in GazaWhile to date, neither the government nor the IDF have put out comprehensive numbers, from the numbers they have put out, it seems that from 2023-2024, civilians were likely at least 60% of those killed by the IDF, if not mid-60%, whereas from January 2025-October 2025, the percentage of civilians killed was likely substantially even worse.Israel also had not agreed to the 1,000 number officially, but most Israeli officials have said that given how many Gazans may be under rubble, the total Hamas-UN numbers for the war, even if Hamas tried to exaggerate, may not be far off, with the main issue being that they do not account for how many killed are Hamas, and how many were killed by Hamas.In terms of monthly breakdowns, according to partially official IDF data, the most Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists killed since the ceasefire was May of this year at 57, while the lowest was June at 36, with an average in the 40s.While some of the Hamas terrorists killed were high-level officers, some were low-level fighters trying to breach the Yellow Line.In October 2025, the Yellow Line was 53% of Gaza, but now the IDF has taken around 70% to pressure Hamas to disarm.IDF destroys Hamas terror infrastructure sitesOn Sunday afternoon, the military said that the IDF destroyed Hamas terror infrastructure sites across the Gaza Strip overnight between Saturday and Sunday.Infrastructure targeted in the strikes included weapons storage and production sites, as well as a rocket launch site, which the military noted was intended to be used against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians.
