In RSS overseas outreach, Mohan Bhagwat to visit US, Canada & UK

NEW DELHI: RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat will visit the US, Canada and the UK from Aug 25 as part of the organisation’s overseas outreach during its ongoing centenary year, RSS national publicity head Sunil Ambekar said Tuesday.In a post on X, Ambekar said Bhagwat would visit the three countries at the invitation of overseas associations and organisations. He did not give details of the cities Bhagwat would visit or the programmes planned in Canada and the UK.The US leg of the tour, however, is set to include his participation in the Universal Oneness celebrations in New York on Aug 29. The event is being organised by American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue (AHEAD), along with cultural, spiritual, service, faith and community organisations from across the US.The gathering will coincide with Raksha Bandhan and focus on social cohesion, civic participation, interfaith understanding and global harmony. Bhagwat’s address is expected to draw national and international interest, according to the organisers.Bhagwat has headed the RSS since 2009. His three-country tour comes as the RSS marks 100 years since its founding in 1925 and is holding centenary-year programmes in India and abroad.Get the latest India News and Live updates.
