LAHORE - Legendary Pakistani squash player and former world champion Jahangir Khan has praised the state-of-the-art Punjab Squash Complex at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, describing the modern facility as a major boost for Lahore and the country's young squash players. Jahangir visited the complex and inaugurated three newly constructed courts developed by the Punjab Sports Department. The department subsequently handed over the courts to the Pakistan Squash Academy under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). During his visit, Jahangir inspected the international, national and practice courts as well as the gymnasium. Sports Punjab Director General Tariq Qureshi briefed him on the facilities and development of the complex. Speaking to the media, Jahangir appreciated the Punjab government and the Sports Department for developing the modern facility, saying high-quality squash courts of this standard were rare even internationally. Calling the complex a "gift" for Lahore's young squash players, the former world champion stressed that sustained hard work remained the key to success. "There is no shortcut to success.
