Jipmer organises awareness programme on liver health
Jipmer's Department of Medical Gastroenterology hosted a liver health awareness program for students in Puducherry to mark World Hepatitis Day 2026. Experts discussed viral hepatitis prevention, vaccination, and the rising prevalence of metabolic liver diseases.
The Department of Medical Gastroenterology of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) organised a Liver Health awareness programme at Bharathidasan Government College for Women here recently, as part of the World Hepatitis Day 2026, to educate students on viral hepatitis, liver disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.
