The 10th prosecution witness in the case relating to the death of journalist K.M. Basheer testified on Friday (August 7, 2026) that he knew that IAS officer Sriram Venkitaraman, the accused in the case, was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Basheer’s colleague S. Sreejith, the witness, also identified during the trial the clothes that Basheer was wearing at the time of the accident.
