KEA, CUPECA urge AICTE to extend admission deadline for engineering courses
The Karnataka Examinations Authority and private engineering colleges have requested the AICTE to extend the engineering admission deadline to September 15. The request stems from delays in NEET counselling and the resulting backlog in the state's professional course seat allocation process.
As the first round of counselling for engineering and other professional courses is yet to be completed, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA) have written to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), seeking an extension of the admission deadline for engineering courses till September 15.
