The Kasaragod District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Sunday (August 2, 2026) reviewed the monsoon situation and directed all departments to remain on high alert for the next two days as heavy rain continued to affect parts of the district. Chairing the DDMA meeting, District Collector Arjun Pandian said officials had responded effectively over the past few days and coordinated relief operations efficiently. He instructed all departments to remain prepared to tackle any emergency.
