KIIFB restructuring committee to meet on August 3

The Kerala government has scheduled the first meeting of the KIIFB restructuring committee for August 3. The committee, led by retired IAS officer Sudha Pillai, aims to review the institution's fiscal framework and propose a comprehensive restructuring plan.
The first meeting of Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) restructuring committee will meet on Monday (August 3). Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan will chair the meeting planned in hybrid mode. On July 13, the State government had constituted a committee headed by retired IAS officer Sudha Pillai to examine the existing framework of KIIFB and recommend a ‘comprehensive restructuring plan.’ The White Paper on the State’s fiscal health published by the UDF government in June had recommended the amendment of the KIIFB Act, a forensic audit of KIIFB accounts and a revamp of the institution.
