Lok Adalat settles nearly 79 lakh cases, resolves disputes worth ₹3,017 crore
The Karnataka State Legal Services Authority settled nearly 79 lakh cases through a statewide Lok Adalat, resolving disputes worth ₹3,017 crore. The initiative focused on traffic challans, motor vehicle accidents, and cheque bounce cases to reduce the burden on the judicial system.
A Lok Adalat held across all courts in the State by the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) resulted in the settlement of nearly 78.78 lakh cases, including 2,53,290 cases pending in various courts and 76,25,039 pre-litigation cases pending before various public authorities, with a total settlement of ₹3,017 crore.
