Love Island final LIVE: Former Islander says show is 'rigged' after Julia and Lorenzo win

Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak have been crowned the winners of Love Island season 13. Fans noted that former contestant George Knight was notably absent from the final episode's recap montages following his early departure from the show.
The Love Island has officially ended with Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak announced as winners, beating out stiff competition from Kavan Murphy and Jasmine Muller - however, one Islander was noticeably absent from the proceedings. As the winners celebrated being £50,000 richer, and montages played out of the biggest moments from season 13, fans noticed that George Knight was “cropped out” of the scenes. The bombshell sparked controversy when he left the villa shortly after his arrival at the beginning of the season, citing "personal reasons". However, viewers flocked to social media after realising that he wasn’t even mentioned during the final moments, and was nowhere to be seen in the clips. He touched on his early departure from Spain last month, addressing speculation in an Instagram video. He said at the time: “I think moments like this give you a massive kind of perspective on the bigger picture, and as fun and as great my six days in the villa were, it's obviously important for me to be here with my family, so thank you so much. "It's been, as I said, completely overwhelming, and a massive thank you to all of ITV's welfare team and the execs who have been amazing. Hopefully it's not the last you see of me, and looking forward to the year ahead.” While George wasn't involved in the final episode of the season, here's everything else that went down as the new champions were crowned.
