Mahesh Manjrekar's wife Medha Manjrekar reveals cancer diagnosis; Says, 'I find myself looking back'

Veteran Marathi actor Medha Manjrekar, wife of filmmaker and actor Mahesh Manjrekar, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer. The actress shared the news through a heartfelt social media post.Medha opened up about her treatment journey and thanked everyone who supported her through one of life's most challenging phases.Along with her message, Medha posted a series of photographs from the hospital.Medha Manjrekar on treatment and faithMedha revealed in her note that she successfully completed one phase of her treatment. Looking back on the experience, she chose to focus not on the illness but on the kindness she received throughout her journey.She wrote, “As one phase of my treatment comes to an end and my birthday approaches, I find myself looking back. Not at the diagnosis. Not at the surgery. Not at the chemotherapy. Not at the radiation. I remember grace.”She further shared, “Looking back, I know those weren’t coincidences. That was God’s way of holding my hand. During this journey, I realised that God doesn’t always appear before us in a divine form. He came into my life as my Gurus, my doctors, my nurses, my family, my friends, and even as someone who was once a stranger but became a blessing.”Family, friends and celebrities stand by herMedha also expressed gratitude to the people who cared for her during treatment. She wrote, “When treatment took away my appetite, someone always knew what I could eat. A box of dhoklas. Soft idlis. Gulpapdi, Pani puri on the day I suddenly craved it. Simple food…Wrapped in extraordinary love.”Her daughter, actor Saiee Manjrekar, responded to the post with a touching message, commenting, “strongest galllllll.”Several Marathi film personalities, including Swwapnil Joshi, Neena Kulkarni, and others also extended their support and wished Medha a healthy recovery.Over the years, Medha Manjrekar has earned appreciation for her performances in Marathi cinema. She has appeared in several acclaimed films including 'Kaksparsh', 'De Dhakka', 'Natsamrat', 'Fakta Ladh Mhana', 'Juna Furniture', and 'Dabangg 3'.Medha married Mahesh Manjrekar in 1995. Mahesh Manjrekar was diagnosed with high-grade urinary bladder cancer in 2021.
