NEW DELHI: New York witnessed demonstrations in support of 'cockroaches', on Tuesday, as students and members of Indian diaspora rallied over alleged irregularities in the NEET examinations.The protesters gathered at the Mahatma Gandhi statue in New York City's Union Square carrying placards in support of students.Protests spread to LondonSimilar solidarity demonstrations were held in London, where protesters gathered outside the Indian High Commission in support of the nationwide movement demanding accountability over the alleged NEET irregularities and reforms in India's education system.Holding placards and raising slogans, the demonstrators expressed support and called for greater transparency, accountability and reforms in the country's examination and education system.Protest continuesJantar Mantar continues to witness thousands of protesters on Wesneday days after the 'Sansad Chalo' march on July 20, as the agitation over alleged irregularities in the NEET examinations showed no signs of slowing down.On Tuesday, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) called off its proposed sit-in outside the Delhi Police headquarters after claiming that all protesters detained following the march had been released.
