A 45-year-old man has died after sustaining injuries from a fall into a sewage channel in Salem on July 18. Despite receiving medical treatment in both Salem and Coimbatore, the victim succumbed to his injuries on Friday.
A 45-year-old man who was undergoing treatment after falling into a sewage channel at Pachapatti second cross died on Friday. The deceased was identified as D. Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Ammapet. On July 18, he slipped and fell into a sewage channel while he was parking a two-wheeler at Pachapatti second cross. Residents rescued him and admitted him to a private hospital in Salem, from where he was later shifted to a private hospital in Coimbatore. But he died on Friday. The Ammapet police registered a case.
