Microsoft is set to launch a single app combining Copilot Chat, Cowork and Code • Межа

Microsoft is developing a single Copilot application that will combine a standard AI chatbot with the ability to carry out complex work tasks and programming. The company plans to launch it by the end of summer 2026. This was announced Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella during the Build 2026 conference, reports Gizmodo. Users will be able to switch between three main modes within a single interface. Chat will handle routine queries, Cowork will carry out lengthy, multi-step tasks, and Code will provide GitHub Copilot's programming tools not only to developers but also to other users. According to data from Fortune, the app may also feature a toggle between personal and corporate Microsoft 365 Copilot accounts. The integration of Autopilot's agent-based features was previously under consideration, though the final set of features may still change. Microsoft has not announced an exact launch date. It is also unknown on which platforms the super-app will be available and how much it will cost. The unified Copilot is intended to simplify the structure of Microsoft's AI products. In March, the company merged the consumer and enterprise divisions of Copilot under the leadership of Jacob Andreau. As a reminder, by April, the Microsoft ecosystem already included around 80 products bearing the Copilot name. Due to the large number of separate services, it was difficult for users to understand their differences and purposes.
