More JBM buses cleared for operations
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has cleared 118 additional JBM electric buses for operation following rigorous safety inspections regarding battery concerns. This brings the total number of operational JBM buses to 268 out of a 500-bus fleet, with the remainder expected to be cleared shortly.
As many as 118 JBM electric buses were cleared as fit for operations on Wednesday. The move comes after the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) recently decided to take these buses off roads after concerns over batteries were reported. As on Wednesday, the number of buses fit to run stood at 268.
