Multiple children injured in dog attack near Leicester city centre

Two children suffer bites to their legs and thighs after a dog attack near Leicester city centre. The incident took place in a playground on Vernon Street, near Newfoundpool , on Sunday, April 19, and saw two children injured by a dog. Leicestershire Police said the victims, aged 11 and 6, sustained bitemarks to their legs and thighs , and were treated in hospital. Officers said they are now appealing for public help in identifying a woman in relation to their investigation. A police spokesperson said: "Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident was reported to us and we hope the public can help us move the investigation on. "We know the images are not the best quality, but we hope someone will recognise the woman or the dog. If this is you or you have any suspicions about who the woman may be, we would urge you to get in touch."
