New XRP Ledger amendments target $530 million in tokenized Wall Street assets

Ripple has introduced new amendments to the XRP Ledger, including 'Confidential Transfers' to facilitate institutional adoption of tokenized financial assets. These updates aim to allow financial institutions to move tokens while keeping transaction amounts private, targeting a market of over $530 million in non-stablecoin assets.
XRPL version 3.3.0 , released this week, includes six proposed amendments. Among them, a “Confidential Transfers” update is the one aimed squarely at institutional users, encrypting balances and payment amounts on Multi-Purpose Tokens, the format Ripple has been pitching for funds, bonds and other financial assets.
