‘Nitakuua’ not enough for conviction, magistrate rules, acquits man

A Kenyan magistrate has acquitted a man accused of threatening to kill his uncle, ruling that the verbal threat was made in the context of a heated family land dispute rather than a genuine intent to harm. The court found that the prosecution failed to prove the complainant lived in actual fear for his life.
